Description of 7-55 Ratchet
First released with Mummy Curse 7-55W from the UX-18 Random Booster Vol. 8 as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on December 27th, 2025, 7-55 (or Seven Fifty Five) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation.
Like most intermediate height Ratchets, 7-55 shape is different to 7-60. While 7-60 has one protrusion which can be easily struck by opposing Beyblades, all 7 protrusions found on 7-55 are identical, creating an overall circular shape.
The number 55 refers to the Ratchet height, which in this case is 5,5mm, 0,5 mm below the standard height. Additionally, intermediate height Ratchets such as 7-55 have a simple, “O” shaped lock instead of a regular one.
Furthermore, these “simple” locks are advertised as having a better Burst resistance. Unfortunately, our testing sessions with these components show the opposite, with a tendency to Burst more often than the standard lock Ratchets. However, 7-55 having a circular shape, making it more difficult to strike, as well as a fairly low height, it does provide decent Burst Resistance.
Despite the lighter weight created by the “O” shaped lock, 7-55 could even become a meta-game option, since its decent Burst Resistance can be used with great success on the Blade Clock Mirage, in the following combination : Clock Mirage 7-55 Low Orb.
Final Thoughts
At the time of writing, this lower, lighter intermediate variant of “7” Ratchets can be recommended to competitive players, at least for testing/experimenting purposes in the combination Clock Mirage 7-55 Low Orb. This combo is a true Wizard Rod/Pegasus Blast slayer, featuring the highest stamina potential in Beyblade X.
The only weakness of Clock Mirage is its tall height, making it prone to Burst Attacks. 7-55 could be interesting to decrease Clock Mirage height, mitigating Burst risk as a result. This could allow Clock Mirage to become more versatile in a competitive environment, now being able to also successfully counter top tier Attack Type combinations.
Therefore, 7-55 is a strong addition in any Beyblade X collection, with the potential to become a must have for competitive players.
