Description of Valkyrie
First released in the CX-00 Valkyrie Volt S4-70V Rare Bey Get Battle Prize Booster as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on July 17th, 2025, Valkyrie is a Lock Chip.
Lock Chips, as their name suggests, are the part that holds Custom Line Blades in place. Players can lock and unlock the Blade by turning any Bit inside the Lock Chip.
Lock Chips are usually nearly identical in shape, size and weight. Therefore, they do not affect overall performances. However, Valkyrie is first Lock Chip featuring metal, increasing its weight significantly. It is also slightly taller than regular Lock Chips.
Valkyrie is approximately 4 grams heavier than standard Lock Chips. The added weight in the center of the Beyblade improves Inward Weight Distribution, which mainly increases Defense potential as a result. However, it also increases Stamina and stability.
At the time of writing, this makes Valkyrie a perfect choice for the most popular Custom Line combination, Valkyrie Blast Wheel 9-60 Free Ball/Wall Ball.
The only alternative option is Emperor, although it is 1 gram lighter than Valkyrie.
It is worth noting that in official tournaments, competitive players can only use 1 copy of Valkyrie in their Deck. However, players can use both Valkyrie and Emperor in their Deck.
