Description of Dran Buster
First released with the UX-01 Dran Buster 1-60A Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on March 30th, 2024, Dran Buster is a right-spin Attack type Blade.
Unique Line Blades feature resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This is meant to increase Outward Weight Distribution, a trait that significantly improves stamina and attack potential.
Unique Line Beyblades also have a gimmick, usually based on all components synergy. As its name suggests, this Blade is a reference to Buster Xcalibur, a Beyblade Burst generation model from the Cho-Z Layer system. Dran Buster has the same gimmick, the “One Hit K.O.” or “One Hit Kill” with its weight distribution focused on one single main contact point.
This gimmick makes Dran Buster quite unbalanced : the opposite side of the main contact point is hollowed in order to facilitate the focused weight distribution towards the sword tip shaped contact point.
Therefore, Dran Buster has great knock-out and Burst attack potential, at the cost of poor stamina and a very erratic behavior. Depending on the combination used, the unbalanced weight distribution can make Dran Buster bounce, wobble and tilt, making it very difficult to control.
However, it is worth noting that this Blade has enough recoil to knock-out Wizard Rod and Silver Wolf combinations with relative consistency. This outstanding attack power has been used by competitive players in Asia and Japan, although Blades such as Phoenix Wing or Aero Pegasus are still the most popular choices in Attack type combinations.
Therefore, similarly to Impact Drake, Dran Buster is a very effective Attack type Blade, although its lack of stamina and stability make it a risky option for competitive use.
Wear and Tear
Unfortunately, players will experience heavy wear and tear on this Blade. Only one side of the sword tip makes contact with opposing Beyblades, thus becoming completely flat over time. Just a few hours of Battles and Dran Buster will lose a large amount of attack power. Therefore, players willing to play this Blade will need multiple copies at their disposal.
Final Thoughts
Dran Buster is without a doubt one of the most agressive and powerful Attack type Blades. However, its lack of stamina, erratic behavior and loss of effectiveness over time can make it very frustrating.
Therefore, similarly to Impact Drake, Dran Buster can be used in a competitive environment, but its wear and tear issue prevents it from being an absolute must have for competitive players and collectors alike.
