Description of Heavy
First released in the CX-11 Emperor Might Deck Set as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on November 1st, 2025, Heavy is the first Assist Blade Blade featuring metal parts.
The addition of metal makes Heavy the heaviest Assist Blade alongside Wheel.
Heavy is a thin, low height Assist Blade, which means it doesn’t interfere in collisions as much as thick, tall Assist Blades such as Wheel. This Assist Blade is meant to be an upgrade for Dran Brave, replacing Slash. The low height and agressive design of Heavy indeed make it a very good option for Attack/Balance type combinations.
Furthermore, the two metal parts are located on opposite edges of the blade, increasing outward weight distribution. As a result, the heavy weight of this component, as well as its weight distribution, improve Custom Line overall balance, stability and behavior.
Moreover, its thin design combined with its weight distribution enhance attack potential of Custom Line combinations. However, the small size of these metal parts prevent it to become auxiliary contact points with high, raw attack power.
While Wheel is often used to become the primary contact point of Custom Line combos, Heavy is the exact opposite. It allows players to increase the weight, balance and attack potential of their combinations.
Therefore, while Wheel can be used in fairly tall combos, Heavy usually performs best in low height agressive combinations, with Main Blades such as Brave, or Blast and Volt.
Final Thoughts
At the time of writing, Custom Line combinations still have the best results in Stamina, Defense oriented combinations with the Assist Blade Wheel. While Heavy may not be as reliable as Wheel for competitive use, it is at the time of writing the best option for Attack and Balance type Custom Line combinations.
As such, it is a strong addition in any Beyblade X Custom Line collection.
