Description of Meteor Dragoon
First released with UX-17 Starter Meteor Dragoon 3-70J as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on December 27th, 2025, Meteor Dragoon is a left-spin Attack type Blade.
Unique Line Blades feature resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This is meant to increase Outward Weight Distribution, a trait that significantly improves stamina and attack potential.
Meteor Dragoon combines Barrage Attacks (hits in quick succession) meant to create spin-equalization potential (or “absorb spin”) thanks to the use of rubber, and a “One Hit Kill” attack created by the largest contact point and its big rubber protrusion.
Meteor Dragoon has three main contact points, featuring rubber on the lower part of each contact point. Each one of these primary contact points have a different size ; the smaller ones feature smooth rubber parts, allowing spin-equalization. The rubber section on the largest contact point is more agressive, and it creates a big rubber protrusion meant to create the “One Hit Kill” attacks, similarly to Dran Buster.
Therefore, despite its three-sided shape, Meteor Dragoon has an unbalanced weight distribution, making it less than ideal for optimized spin-equalization combinations. Moreover, this Blade is one the heaviest available, weighing approximately 39 grams. Therefore, the heavy, unbalanced weight distribution makes it difficult for a Meteor Dragoon combination to maintain its posture when losing spin velocity.
However, Meteor Dragoon has decent attack power, enough to create Knock-Out and Destabilization potential. Additionally, since its rubber parts are located on the lower sections of the contact points, players can experiment with the combination’s height. For example “70” height Ratchets are worth experimenting with.
Final Thoughts
Due to its unbalanced weight distribution and the resulting lack of stability, Meteor Dragoon is outclassed by Cobalt Dragoon for “Spin-Equalization” purposes, even when combined with Ratchets such as 9-60 and 5-60, and the Bit Elevate.
However, at the time of writing, with various Attack type combinations becoming more popular in the meta-game, the Attack and Spin-Equalization potential of Meteor Dragoon could find some use in a competitive environment, especially when combined with Ratchets such as 5-60 and 9-60 and the Bit Level. Moreover, it is worth noting that when compared to Elevate, Level also increases Burst Resistance.
While Level does not provide the L.A.D. created by Elevate, it has high stability, helping Meteor Dragoon to maintain its posture when losing spin velocity.
Therefore, this Blade is a strong addition in any Beyblade X Collection.
