Description of Round

First released in the CX-02 Wizard Arc R4-55LO Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line on March 29th, 2025, Round is an Assist Blade featuring a circular design.

Round is entirely made of plastic, it has an overall circular shape and five gaps on each side. These gaps as well as the circular shape are meant to provide “high centrifugal force” according to Takara Tomy, resulting in theory in increased stamina.

However, Round did not display high stamina levels during our testing sessions, it seems to make Beys more prone to destabilization. Round can show decent defense at times, being able to mitigate some of the opposing Beys attacks when struck.

Additionally, the combination of plastic and metal contact points on CX Blades can make recoil feel more unpredictable, and Round is no exception. While it can mitigate some of the opposing Beys attacks, it can also destabilize the Bey early in the Battle, in unpredictable ways.

So far, we preferred Round in tall combinations, where Round can act as the primary contact point in stamina matchups.

With few Main Blade options to choose from, it is too early to find a competitive use to Round. However, it is a great addition for players willing to create Custom Line Stamina/Defense type combinations.
