Description of Turn
First released with Hells Reaper T4-70K in the CX-05 Random Booster Vol.6 as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line on April 26th, 2025, Turn is an Assist Blade featuring a four-sided design.
Turn is entirely made of plastic, featuring four secondary contact points to support the Main Blade. Unlike other Assist Blades from the Custom Line, it doesn’t leave any gap between itself and the Main Blade, which mitigates destabilization risk. It also has a gimmick : Turn can be used in two modes, Attack or Defense. In Attack mode, all four contact points have an additional protrusion, creating potential for Barrage attacks. Barrage attacks are successive and rapid strikes on the opposing Beyblades, which in theory creates synergy with Main Blades such as Reaper or Brush.
In Defense mode, the contact points are smoother, meant to repel opposing Beyblades attacks. However, players may struggle to find a noticeable difference during Battle.
Furthermore, at the time of writing Turn is the heaviest Assist Blade, making it a great option for any Custom Line combination.
However, the gimmick creates a small “Burst” risk : during our testing sessions, Turn detached itself a few times, resulting in unexpected Burst finishes. The risk of such incidents happening is low.
Finally, please note that while Turn can be separated in two parts, using this Assist Blade without the contact points attached is forbidden in official Beyblade tournaments.
Final Thoughts
With few Main Blade options to choose from, it is too early to find a competitive use to Turn, but it may be the most versatile option at the time of writing, mainly due to its shape and heavier weight.
Therefore, it may be a nice addition for Custom Line collectors.
