Description of Volt
First released in the CX-00 Valkyrie Volt S4-70V Rare Bey Get Battle Prize Booster as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on July 17th, 2025, Volt is a right-spin Attack type Blade featuring a three-sided design.
Volt is a reference to Beyblade Burst Valkyrie Line, featuring the iconic three-sided shape of Valkyrie Beyblades. More specifically, Volt is inspired by the design of the first Valkyrie, from the Single Layer system. Like Valkyrie, all three main contact points are slanting upwards, creating upper attack potential.
Since the Custom Line Main Blades have to accommodate for the Assist Blades, the contact points are thinner when compared to Attack type Blades from the Basic and the Unique Line, resulting in less raw attack power.
Additionally, Custom Line Main Blades are significantly taller than regular Blades, exposing the Ratchet a bit more, thus increasing Burst risk. The taller height of the CX Blades also means they are easier to destabilize, a key gameplay aspect of Beyblade X.
Volt has decent attack potential, especially when combined with Assist Blades such as Slash, Jaggy or Heavy. However, it is outclassed by Blast. Furthermore, Volt contact points are prone to wear and tear, becoming dull over time. Therefore, this Main Blade attack potential will decrease over time.
However, Volt may become more interesting in the future, if Takara Tomy releases Assist Blades featuring metal auxiliary contact points, in order to enhance Custom Line Blades Attack potential.
Volt has average stamina, also making it outclassed by Blast.
A worn copy of Volt can be used to create decent Defense type combinations, especially when combined with the Assist Blade Wheel and the Bit Hexa.
Final Thoughts
Volt wear and tear issues are disappointing, especially for such a rare and expensive model. However, it is a great addition for collectors, allowing them to enjoy more customization options for their Custom Line Blades.
