Description of 0-70 Ratchet
First released with the UX-14 Scorpio Spear 0-70 Zap Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on April 26th, 2025, 0-70 (or Zero Seventy) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation.
In theory, 0-70 doesn’t have any protrusion, featuring a smooth circular shape. In reality however, three thin blades are protruding vertically, exposing the Ratchet to strikes coming from below.
To compensate for its smooth perimeter, 0 Ratchets are wider, making 0 the largest Ratchet available. As a result, in spite of the absence of protrusions, 0 Ratchets can Burst on a regular basis. Furthermore, at the time of writing, 70 and 80 are the only heights available, making 0 easier to Burst.
0-70 and 0-80 are quite heavy, only outweighed by 7-70 and 7-80. This weight can be felt during Battle, 0-70 tends to add some stability and stamina to the combination. Unfortunately, its height and the resulting Burst risk can make it difficult to use.
Additionally, 0 having a smooth perimeter, it has good LAD (Life-After-Death). However, the three protruding blades seem to have an impact on LAD, preventing 0-70 to completely outclass other options such as 5-60, 9-60 or 6-60.
0-70 Ratchet Height
The number “70” refers to the Ratchet height, which in this case is 7 mm. 0-70 features a stronger lock than 0-80. However, in spite of their weaker lock, “70” Ratchets tend to have a better Burst Resistance than “80” variants, height being a key factor when it comes to Burst rate.
Therefore, “70” Ratchets are usually used with attack/balance type Bits, featuring a wider shaft and increased burst-resistance. Players willing to experiment with 0-70 in Stamina and Defense type combinations may use the Bit Hexa, providing a defensive behavior, with good stability and stamina, as well as increased Burst resistance thanks to its widened shaft.
