Description of Samurai Calibur
First released with BX-45 Booster Samurai Calibur 6-70M as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line on August 9th, 2025, Samurai Calibur is a right-spin Balance type Blade.
Samurai Calibur has a four-sided shape, featuring 4 primary contact points. Officially labeled as a Balance type Blade, the main contact points are fairly thick and semi agressive. Moreover, all four primary contact points are flat, with no upward or downward slope.
Like most Balance type Blades, Samurai Calibur is a jack-of-all-trades, master of none option. Therefore, its Attack, Defense, and Stamina potential are outclassed by specialized Blades. More specifically, it lacks recoil and stamina to counter most Stamina Blades. As a result, this Blade performs better against Attack, Balance and Defense type combinations.
However, while this Blade is outclassed for competitive use by top tier options such as Shark Scale, Wyvern Hover or Aero Pegasus, it has decent weight, approximately 36 grams. Samurai Calibur inertia can be used with some degree of success in anti-attack combinations using Balance or Attack type Bits such as Kick, Unite etc. Furthermore, while Samurai Calibur lacks recoil to effectively strike Stamina type Blades, it can also be used to counter average Defense type combinations.
Moreover, its semi agressive contact points can be used in Defense type combinations, using Bits such as Wedge.
Overall, Samurai Calibur is fairly versatile, although it tends to struggle against average to top-tier stamina combinations.
Final Thoughts
Featuring poor to average stamina potential, Samurai Calibur is heavily outclassed for competitive use. However, its ability to perform in anti-attack/defense combinations make it a nice addition in any Beyblade X Collection.
