Description of Gear Unite
First released with CX-17 Unicorn Delta PO3-60GU as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line Expand Blade on April 25th, 2026, Gear Unite (or GU) is a balance type Bit. It is the “Gear” variant of Unite (U). A “Gear” variant means that the Bit feature extended Gears, completely covering the tip itself.
“GU” features a small ball-shaped plastic tip barely protruding from tip. The shaft of this Bit features a wider part, increasing burst-resistance.
In theory, this design is intended to give a real balance identity to the Bit, allowing the player to choose how the combination will behave depending on the launching technique used.
A flat launch will result in the Beyblade landing on the inner part of the Bit—the small ball-shaped tip—creating a fairly stationary behavior. The combination will spin in the center area of the stadium, similarly to a stamina or defense Bit. If launched at an angle, the combination will instead contact the flat, outer part of the Bit, resulting in a more aggressive behavior, moving with speed and able to ride the X-Line and perform the Xtreme Dash with high velocity.
In reality, GU is much closer to Gear Point than Unite. While the latter is known for its erratic movement, this Gear version offers an overall less aggressive, more stationary behavior.
Furthermore, although the presence of the Gears provides some stability at the end of spin, Gear Unite offers lower posture maintenance than Bits like Elevate, for example.
In addition, as is always the case with Gear versions, the risk of self-knockout is increased.
Ultimately, Gear Unite proves to be less technically demanding than Unite, because its relatively wide base rights the combo fairly quickly. This makes it more forgiving of overly angled launches.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, while Unite is known for maintaining circular movement, this Gear version is less aggressive, with a tendency to stabilize in a stationary position quite quickly. For players who are not focused on competitive play, GU is therefore more technically accessible than its predecessor, U.
