Description of 9-65 Ratchet
First released in the UX-16 Random Booster Clock Mirage Select as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on October 11th, 2025, 9-65 (or Nine Sixty Five) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation.

This Ratchet has 9 small protrusions along its perimeter, which makes “9” the Ratchet shape with the best Burst Resistance. It sits at 6,5 mm, as such it is an intermediate between 9-60 and 9-70.
While 9-65 looks identical to other “9” Ratchets, this variant has a “O” shaped lock. This lock type makes Ratchets lighter, being at least 1,5 g lighter than standard lock Ratchets. This “65” variant weighs 4,4 g, while the “60” variant weighs 6,1 g.
Furthermore, these “simple” locks are advertised as having a better Burst resistance. Unfortunately, our testing sessions with these components show the opposite, with a clear tendency to Burst more often than the standard lock Ratchets.
Therefore, since they have less weight and an overall poor Burst Resistance, it is difficult to find a competitive use for these Ratchets. However, with the addition of new Blades only compatible with “O” shaped locks, such as Clock Mirage, 9-65 could become an interesting option in the future.
