Description of Flame
First released as a Prize of CX-08 Random Booster Vol.7, Cerberus Flame W5-80WB, as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line on July 19th, 2025, Flame is a right-spin Main Blade featuring a three-sided design.
In spite of its three main contact points, this Main Blade has an overall circular shape and a smooth perimeter. The plastic part of the Blade also has nine holes in order to facilitate air flow, thus improving stamina potential.
Since the Custom Line Main Blades have to accommodate for the Assist Blades, the contact points are thinner when compared to other Blades from the Basic and the Unique Line. Unlike other Main Blades, Flame doesn’t leave any gaps exposed between itself and the Assist Blade. Flame is reminiscent of Hells Kerbecs BD145DS, from the Metal Fight Beyblade generation, when combined to the Assist Blade Wheel.
Additionally, Custom Line Main Blades are significantly taller than regular Blades, exposing the Ratchet a bit more, thus increasing Burst risk. The taller height of the CX Blades also means they are easier to destabilize, a key gameplay aspect of Beyblade X.
Blast Performances
Flame has decent stamina potential, although it is outclassed by the heavier attack type Main Blade Blast. Flame can outclass many Blades from the Basic and Unique Lines, but it cannot compete with Blades such as Wizard Rod, Silver Wolf and Scorpio Spear, even when combined with the Assist Blade Wheel.
The smooth perimeter of this Main Blade results in poor attack power, making it difficult to use in Attack type combinations.
However, while not competitive, this Main Blade can be used to create good Defense/Stamina combinations.
Final Thoughts
Flame is a very good Main Blade, just lacking a bit of weight to be able to compete with the best options available.
Therefore, in our opinion, this Main Blade can be considered as a nice addition for Custom Line collectors.
