Description of Merge
First released with BX-45 Booster Samurai Calibur 6-70M as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line on August 9th, 2025, Merge (or M) is a Balance type Bit.
Merge features a small rubber ring with a sharp plastic tip protruding in its center. Therefore, when launched at an angle or struck by the opposing Beyblade, the rubber ring will increase friction, creating agressive movement patterns. However, when launched flat (parallel to the stadium floor), Merge creates a docile, stationary behavior. As a result, this Bit can be quite unpredictable in terms of behavior. Additionally, Merge features a widened shaft, increasing Burst Resistance.
Furthermore, at the time of writing, Merge is the tallest Bit available in Beyblade X, sitting 4 mm above the standard height. The increased height make it easier to destabilize a Merge combination. Moreover, it has 18 Gears instead of the usual 12. Due to Merge increased height, the Gears are also taller. The 18 Gears increase Xtreme Dash Attacks speed, at the cost of stamina and an increased self knock-out risk as well. However, similarly to Accel, the increased number of Gears make it more difficult to hit and ride the X-Line smoothly.
It is also worth noting that the tall height of Merge make it one of Beyblade X heaviest Bits.
However, the rubber ring and the 18 gears both create poor stamina potential. Moreover, the rubber ring doesn’t provide any stability to the combination. As a result, Merge is easy to destabilize and knock-out, making it heavily outclassed for competitive use.
Final Thoughts
Merge can show glimpses of tall Bits potential : when used against low combinations, the taller height can make Ratchets sit above the opposing Blade. However, this Bit lacks stamina and stability to be considered as viable in a competitive environment.
Therefore, Merge is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
