Description of 2-70 Ratchet
First released in the UX-09 Samurai Saber 2-70L Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on November 2nd, 2024, 2-70 (or Two Seventy) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation.
The number “2” refers to the number of protrusions along the Ratchet’s perimeter, therefore 2-70 has two protrusions. In Beyblade X, Ratchets protrusions are acting as weak points for burst attacks, therefore players have to make sure these protrusions are not too exposed. However, attack oriented Ratchets protrusions can also be used as secondary contact points.
The number “70” refers to the Ratchet height, which in this case is 7 mm. This height is slightly taller than the standard “60” height. It does have a better Burst Resistance than its “80” variant, although 2-60 is a bit safer.
2-70 protrusions are very pronounced, creating a high Burst risk in any type of combination. Even when equipped with an attack/balance type Bit, 2-70 can Burst while hitting the X-Line. Therefore, 2-70 has the highest Burst risk in Beyblade X.
Having the worst Burst resistance amongst all available Ratchet options, as well as poor synergy with the majority of Beyblade X Blades, we can recommend this Ratchet to collectors only.
