Description of Weiss Tiger
First released with BX-33 Booster Weiss Tiger 3-60U as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line system on June 15th, 2024, Weiss Tiger is a right-spin Balance type Blade.
Weiss Tiger has an overall three-sided shape, featuring three sections. Each section has three different blades : Upper, Damper and Smash. The Upper blades are meant to create upper attacks, the damper blades are designed to mitigate recoil, thus having a defensive role, and the smash blades are designed to create smash attacks (according to the Japanese definition).
In reality, while the contact points are fairly small, the combination of Upper and Smash attacks in quick succession can create Destabilization potential. Destabilization can be used with some degree of success against Defense type combinations. Moreover, when combined with stamina and balance type Bits, Weiss Tiger can also have surprisingly good results when facing attack type combinations.
However, this Blade lacks weight and the required inertia to be a competitive option in the meta game. Weiss Tiger lacks recoil to be a real threat for top tier stamina type Blades, such as Wizard Rod and Silver Wolf, and it is now outclassed by top tier Attack type Blades such as Shark Scale, Wyvern Hover and Aero Pegasus.
Additionally, Weiss Tiger features the typical attributes of Balance type Blades. It has just enough attack potential to counter-attack, and a decent amount of defense and stamina potential as well. However, it doesn’t excel in any specific type. When played in a non competitive environment, this Blade can prove to be an interesting option in anti-attack combinations. Bits such as Kick, Taper and Unite usually create good synergy with this Blade.
Final Thoughts
Weiss Tiger is outclassed for competitive use. However, it is an interesting Blade nonetheless, with a unique style and identity. Therefore, it is a nice addition in any Beyblade X Collection.
