Description of Brachio Whip OW5-70Nr

Released as a Random Booster Select as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line Expand Blade system on June 13th, 2026, CX-18 Brachio Whip OW5-70Nr is a right-spin Stamina type combination.

Custom Line Expand Blade (or “Infinity”) Beyblades feature a customisable Blade made of four interchangeable parts : the Lock Chip, the Metal Blade, the Over Blade and the Assist Blade.

This stock combo is designed to deliver high levels of stamina thanks to Outward Weight Distribution, hence the name of the Over Blade : Outer. Stamina potential is created by the Narrow Bit as well as the smooth, circular perimeter of the Whip Metal Blade and Wheel Assist Blade. However, Whip features a subtle twist : it incorporates two contact points capable of delivering strong counter-recoil hits, which can successfully destabilize opposing setups.

As a result, Brachio Whip will sometimes demonstrate an excellent ability to absorb hits thanks to the plastic of the Wheel Assist Blade, while also generating sharp recoil through Whip. Although this recoil can cause the opposing Beyblade to tilt, it can also destabilize Brachio Whip itself.

Overall, this Beyblade remains a solid Stamina-type combination nonetheless, thanks to the exceptional quality of some of its components.

It is almost difficult to point out any notable weaknesses : as is often the case with stock Stamina and Defense type combos, Takara Tomy chose to include the 5-70 Ratchet, which increases the risk of Bursting. This stands as the only significant flaw of this particular model.

However, in terms of raw performance, despite the inclusion of Wheel and Narrow, Brachio Whip displays only decent/average stamina compared to top-tier references. This Beyblade is therefore an excellent stock combo, without necessarily being viable in pure competitive play.

How to Improve Brachio Whip

At the time of writing, Wheel is already the best Assist Blade option in Stamina/Defense type combinations.

Since Narrow is one of the best Stamina Bits, there is no need to replace it. However, using it makes choosing the 9-60 Ratchet virtually mandatory, in order to increase Burst resistance and face Attack-type setups with greater peace of mind. If you want more freedom regarding your Ratchet choice, Hexa remains the safest Stamina/Defense Bit. It boosts Burst resistance, which remains the primary weakness of Stamina and Defense combinations in the Custom Line.

With the limited number of options available for the Over Blade, Outer seems to offer strong performance, but experimenting with the Flow Over Blade could prove interesting.

Additionally, if you want to eliminate the randomness created by the two contact points on the Whip Metal Blade, at the time of writing this article, the defense-type Fortress Metal Blade can help reduce recoil. For maximum optimization, the Blast or Might Main Blades currently allow the combo to be viable in a competitive environment.

Finally, players who own the Emperor and Valkyrie Lock Chips can use them to increase KO resistance.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the presence of Wheel and Narrow makes Brachio Whip an excellent release. Wheel remains essential to this day for Custom Line enthusiasts, and the Narrow Bit instantly establishes itself as a top-tier Stamina reference.

Therefore, Brachio Whip OW5-70Nr is a must have in any Beyblade X collection.
