Description of Free Flat
First released with the BX-49 Starter Dran Strike 4-50FF as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line Infinity system on May 16th, 2026, Free Flat (or FF) is an attack type Bit.
Similarly to Flat, “FF” features a round, flat tip with a shallow indentation. This design is intended to create aggressive movements, helping the combination to reach the X-Line and perform Xtreme Dash Attacks. This design also results in poor to average stamina potential. Additionally, the shaft of this Bit is wider, resulting in increased burst resistance.
The ‘Free’ variant type means the Bit spins freely inside the Ratchet, which is supposed to mitigate stamina loss during Xtreme Dashes.
In reality, the lack of resistance upon contact with the X-Line can sometimes prevent the Xtreme Dash from triggering altogether. As a result, catching the Xtreme Line can become fairly inconsistent with an aggressive Bit like Free Flat.
Additionally, Xtreme Dash speed varies wildly. At times, Free Flat produces relatively slow Xtreme Dashes, while other times it drives Xtreme Dashes fast enough to cause a self-KO right out of the Xtreme Line.
Although Free Flat is capable of solid performance, purely competitive players may find it too unpredictable and inconsistent to run in their Decks.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, Free Flat is an interesting part. However, when compared to top-tier Bits like Rush, Low Rush, or Level, its performance is too inconsistent to be recommended as a must-have for competitive use.
Therefore, Free Flat is a nice addition in any player’s collection.
