Description of 6-70 Ratchet
First released with BX-45 Booster Samurai Calibur 6-70M as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line on August 9th, 2025, 6-70 (or Six Seventy) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation.
The number “6” refers to the number of protrusions along the Ratchet’s perimeter, which means that 6-70 has 6 protrusions. In Beyblade X, Ratchets protrusions/blades are acting as weak points for burst attacks, therefore players have to make sure the blades of the ratchet are not too exposed. On 6-70, out of the 6 blades, 3 are slightly larger, while the 3 remaining protrusions are thinner and smaller.
The 6 protrusions create an overall circular design, which may result in increased LAD (Life-After-Death). At the time of writing, 5-60 is the preferred option to create high L.A.D. potential, which is the Bey ability to keep spinning on the stadium floor.
6-70 Ratchet Height
The number “70” refers to the Ratchet height, which in this case is 7 mm. 6-70 sits 1 mm above the standard height, making it slightly easier to strike from below. Therefore, “70” Ratchets tend to have better burst resistance than their 80 variants, although “60” Ratchets remain the safest option at the time of writing.
Moreover, height increases weight, making 6-70 heavier than its “60” variant.
Final Thoughts
So far, 7-60 seem to be a versatile Ratchet, allowing players to use it in any type of combination, from Stamina to Attack. However, at the time of writing, it is not one of the preferred options for competitive use.
