Description of Bullet Griffon
First released with UX-19 Starter Bullet Griffon H as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line Expand Blade (or Infinity) system on April 25th, 2026, Bullet Griffon is a right-spin Integrated Ratchet Balance type Blade.
Unique Line Blades feature resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This is meant to increase Outward Weight Distribution, a trait that significantly improves stamina and attack potential.
Furthermore, Unique Line Expand Blade (or Infinity) Beyblades have an additional gimmick : a Ratchet integrated Blade.
Additionally, even though this Beyblade doesn’t feature a Ratchet, the Blade separates into two distinct parts mid-battle: Bullet, the upper part, and Griffon, the lower part. The latter is actually the main piece where the Bit is attached.
As a result, this top operates under its own set of rules: only Griffon can achieve victory or suffer a loss. In contrast, while Bullet can be knocked out into a pocket without ending the round, it cannot score a Spin Finish either—only Griffon’s final result counts.
There are two crucial takeaways here. First, consistency varies across copies—some Bullet Griffon units split apart much more easily and rapidly than others.
Second, our testing revealed progressive wear and tear on the mechanism. After multiple hours of playtime, Bullet Griffon started separating increasingly faster mid-battle.
In fact, the gimmick appears to trigger upon contact with the upper part, Bullet. As a result, by swapping to a higher-profile Ratchet, players can practically keep Bullet out of harm’s way, thereby delaying or completely preventing the burst/separation of both components.
This is important, since Bullet Griffon is incredibly heavy before it separates : at over 60 grams, this Blade can have decent results against top tier Blades such as Silver Wolf or Wizard Rod.
Gimmick : Bullet and Griffon
Once the Blade separates, Bullet (the upper section) functions as an Attack-type component, featuring a semi-aggressive perimeter and a spring-loaded flat tip designed to cushion its landing on the stadium floor. Although Bullet is capable of aggressive movement, it typically travels at a moderate pace, resulting in lower-velocity Xtreme Dashes. Bullet weighs approximately 32,5 grams.
Conversely, Griffon is officially classified as a Defense-type component, characterized by a smooth, circular perimeter. Griffon weighs approximately 28 grams without a Bit inserted. Due to its remarkably light weight once separated from Bullet, Griffon can prove to be easier to destabilize, as well as more susceptible to being knocked out.
First and foremost, it is crucial to note the sudden recoil triggered by Bullet Griffon’s separation. This recoil is violent enough to knock any opposing Blade into the Over or Xtreme Zone; however, it can also backfire, potentially causing Griffon itself to get self-knocked out upon separating.
Furthermore, players obviously have no control over Bullet’s behavior. While it can occasionally disrupt the opponent’s combo, it can just as easily interfere with and attack Griffon. Consequently, these factors introduce a layer of RNG (randomness) that might not appeal to every player.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, Bullet Griffon’s performance when paired with taller Bits can be truly impressive, even against optimized competitive combos. Unfortunately, the wear and tear observed during our testing, combined with the variance in mold/burst resistance from one copy to another, means that players will absolutely need to have multiple copies on hand if they wish to run it under optimal conditions.
As such, it is a nice addition in any Beyblade X Collection.
