Description of Guard
First released with CX-14 Starter Knight Fortress GV8-70UN as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line Expand Blade on March 28th, 2026, Guard is an Over Blade.
Guard is made entirely of plastic and features a triangular shape with three equal-sized sections. This design choice is meant to create synergy with the Fortress Metal Blade.
Guard has the benefit of providing a relatively balanced weight distribution, although it is currently the lightest Over Blade in the Custom Line Infinity. Additionally, players can align Guard in different ways, allowing them to create synergy by matching the shape of the Metal Blade.
Thus, at the time of writing, Guard is a relatively interesting option within the CX Expand Blade lineup, which currently features a very limited number of Over Blades.
Final Thoughts
In short, besides having good synergy with the Fortress Metal Blade, Guard could prove useful on three-sided Metal Blades -designed for attack- and its balanced weight distribution can make it a decent choice for stamina combos.
Therefore, Guard is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
