Description of Outer
First released with CX-18 Brachio Whip OW5-70Nr as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line Expand Blade on June 13th, 2026, Outer is an Over Blade.
Outer is made entirely of plastic and features a pentagonal shape with five equal-sized sections. This design choice is meant to create synergy with the Whip Metal Blade.
Outer is designed to concentrate mass on the periphery of the setup, thereby increasing its moment of inertia (OWD) and gyroscopic effect, which promotes better rotational speed retention and enhanced pure stamina.
To achieve this, this Over Blade features a relatively wide shape with a outer perimeter thicker than its center. This effectively concentrates the weight along the component’s periphery, hence its name, Outer.
At the time of writing this article, Flow is the best alternative to Outer for CX Infinity Stamina-type setups. While the weight of both components is very similar, Outer features a wider shape and maintains a somewhat circular design through its five sections, whereas Flow has a slightly more compact design and a more elliptical shape.
Thus, with few options currently available, Outer is one of the best Over Blades, alongside Flow, for building Stamina/Defense-type CX Infinity setups.
