Description of 6-80 Ratchet
First released in the CX-03 Perseus Dark B6-80W Booster as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on March 29th, 2025, 6-80 (or Six Eighty) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation, it is a taller variant of 6-60.
The number “6” refers to the number of blades along the Ratchet’s perimeter, which means that 6-80 has 6 blades. In Beyblade X, Ratchets protrusions/blades are acting as weak points for burst attacks, therefore players have to make sure the blades of the ratchet are not too exposed. On 6-80, out of the 6 blades, 3 are slightly larger, while the 3 remaining protrusions are thinner and smaller.
The 6 protrusions create an overall circular design, which may result in increased LAD (Life-After-Death). At the time of writing, 5-60 is the preferred option to create high L.A.D. potential, which is the Bey ability to keep spinning on the stadium floor.
6-80 Ratchet Height
The number “80” refers to the Ratchet height, which in this case is 8 mm. 6-80 sits at a taller height, making it easier to strike from below. “70” and “80” Ratchets feature a lock with increased resistance to compensate for this, but “60” Ratchets have better burst resistance than their 70 and 80 variants nonetheless.
Final Thoughts
6-80 tall height will make it difficult to use in Stamina and Defense type combinations, because of the resulting decreased Burst resistance. Players willing to use 6-80 may prefer Attack or Balance type Bits featuring a widened shaft to increase Burst Resistance.
