Description of Level
First released in the UX-09 Samurai Saber 2-70L Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on November 2nd, 2024, Level (or L) is an Attack type Bit.
Level has one one the most complex design in Beyblade X. It features 3 different surfaces of contact, allowing the combination to go through 3 different movement patterns in a Battle. First of all, it is important to mention that it has 16 gears, instead of the standard 12. Even though these Bits are different, the 16 gears increase self-K.O. risk, similarly to Accel. However, this risk can be mitigated by tilting the launcher.
Furthermore, Level is a wide Bit, to accomodate for the 3 different “Levels”. It has an unusual indented perimeter, which actually helps to create agressive movement patterns while maintaining decent control. Therefore, when launched at an angle, “L” will easily reach the X-Line and perform fast, agressive Xtreme Dash attacks. As a result, Level has high attack potential.
Then, when this Bit slows down and stops performing Xtreme-Dash attacks, it will switch to a more conservative behavior, usually moving in circles around the center part of the Stadium. This movement pattern is created by the second part of Level, a flat area surrounding a small tip, barely protruding from the flat part.
This small tip creates high stamina potential, further enhancing Level performances. The wide size of this Bit and its flat part not only create high attack potential, it also provides outstanding stability. Stability and Destabilization are crucial factors in Beyblade X gameplay mechanics, making Level one of the best attack type Bits available at the time of writing.
The small tip and the increased stability provided by the large size of Level create high stamina potential, making it highly versatile and safe to play, once players are used to the required launching technique.
As a result, Level can be used to attack some of Beyblade X best Stamina/Defense combinations. Furthermore, its high stability can also be used to counter the infamous Spin-Equalization combination Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate. The best way to do so is to use “L” with versatile Attack type Blades such as Aero Pegasus. Attack type Blades equipped with Level will be able to repel Cobalt Dragoon, mitigating its Spin-Equalization potential, while having enough stamina and stability to out spin Elevate.
One of our favorite combinations to counter both Stamina type combos and Cobalt Dragoon 5-60E is Aero Pegasus 3-60/7-60 Level.
Additionally, as with all Attack type Bits, the shaft features a widened part, resulting in increased Burst resistance.
Final Thoughts
Level has outstanding Attack and Stamina potential, with high stability. While Bits such as Rush and Low Rush have been heavily used in official Beyblade X tournaments, Level is just as good and reliable, although it is more skill intensive and harder to use.
Therefore, Level is a must have for competitive players and collectors alike, being one of the best Attack type Bits available at the time of writing.
