Description of Vertical
First released with CX-13 Starter Bahamut Bliz BK1-50I as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line Expand Blade on March 28th, 2026, Vertical is an Assist Blade Blade featuring a dodecagonal shape.
Vertical is entirely made of plastic, with an overall dodecagonal shape featuring 12 auxiliary contact points. Additionally, gaps are present at regular intervals across 6 out of the 12 auxiliary contact points.
The design of this Assist Blade is intended to synergize with the Fortress Metal Blade.
Although Takara Tomy designed Vertical to cushion opposing attacks, its lack of weight and fairly low profile relative to most Metal Blades/Main Blades actually make it an inferior option to Wheel in both Stamina and Defense.
However, Vertical is still prominent enough to interfere during collisions with opposing combos, making it poorly suited for offensive combinations
Final Thoughts
In summary, while Wheel proved how crucial the Assist Blade is for Custom Line combinations, Vertical delivers inferior performance, making it outclassed for competitive use.
Therefore, this Assist Blade is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
