Description of 0-60 Ratchet
First released with CX-10 Booster Wolf Hunt F0-60DB as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line on November 1st, 2025, 0-60 (or Zero Sixty) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation.
In theory, 0-60 doesn’t have any protrusion, featuring a smooth circular shape. In reality however, three thin blades are protruding vertically, exposing the Ratchet to strikes coming from below.
To compensate for its smooth perimeter, 0 Ratchets are wider, making 0 the largest Ratchet available. As a result, in spite of the absence of protrusions, 0 Ratchets can create a lot of “Bit Releases”. A “Bit Release” happens when the Bit is separated from the combo, while the Ratchet is still locked in place.
0-60 is quite heavy, only outweighed by 7-60. This weight can be felt during Battle, 0-60 tends to add some stability and stamina to the combination. Unfortunately, its tendency to create Bit Releases make it difficult to use in Stamina type combinations.
Additionally, 0 having a smooth perimeter, it has decent LAD (Life-After-Death). However, the three protruding do have an impact on LAD, preventing 0-60 to completely outclass other options such as 5-60, 9-60 or 6-60.
0-60 Ratchet Height
The number “60” refers to the Ratchet height, which in this case is 6 mm. 0-60 features a weaker lock than 0-70 and 0-80. However, in spite of their weaker lock, “60” Ratchets tend to have a better Burst Resistance than “70” and “80” variants, height being a key factor when it comes to Burst rate.
Therefore, at the time of writing, “60” Ratchets are the most popular choices in competitive decks.
In the specific case of 0-60, the lower height comes with a downside. The three protrusions can be struck by the X-Line, increasing Burst rate as a result. Therefore, we would recommend to use 0-60 in Attack/Balance type combinations to mitigate Burst risk.
