Description of Accel

---

First released with UX-01 Starter Dran Buster 1-60 Accel as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line on March 30th, 2024, Accel (or A) is an attack type Bit.

Accel tip is identical to Flat, creating high levels of friction with the stadium floor, thus making it easier for the combination to ride the X-Line and perform Xtreme Dash attacks. Like other attack type Bits, the shaft is wider, resulting in increased burst resistance.

Accel “Gimmick”

A features a specific Gear design : it has 16 gears instead of the usual 12. This results in higher velocity during Xtreme Dash attacks, although it also drains stamina a lot more than traditional Gears.

This design makes Accel some kind of a “one hit” Bit, creating one fast attack at the beginning of the Battle. The amount of drained stamina in the process usually makes A unable to deliver more impactful attacks later in the battle.

Performances

When compared to traditional Attack type Bits, Accel is more complex to understand, as well as risky. What is important to understand with this Bit is that it is not necessarily more agressive than other Attack type Bits. Its basic movements are not faster by any means, only Xtreme Dash attacks
will be different, and hit harder.

Since Accel has poor stamina, its velocity will be severely decreased after the first Xtreme Dash of the Battle, making it a spectacular yet extremely risky option.

Furthermore, the increased speed of the Xtreme-Dash also result in a higher Self Knock-Out risk. This can make A frustrating to play, even for seasoned players.

However, with a bit of luck and skill, Accel can help lighter Blades to knock-out heavier Blades by performing high velocity Xtreme Dash attacks.

Wear and Tear

It is worth noting that the repeated contacts between Accel and the X-Line may cause rapid, unusual wear on the tip and gears of this Bit. Therefore, both competitive and non-competitive players may need to have multiple copies of this Bit at their disposal.

Final Thoughts

Having poor stamina as well as high self knock-out risk, Accel is a very risky Attack type Bit, which can prove to be frustrating, especially for beginners. As such, this option is not used by competitive players.

Therefore, while not a must-have, Accel is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
