Description of the Charge Metal Driver

First released with the B-171 Superking Triple Booster Set as part of the Superking Layer system on August 8th, 2020, Charge Metal is an attack type Performance Tip. It is a variant of the Charge Driver.

Charge Metal features a wide base and a flat, hollowed tip. The base and tip are made of metal, resulting in low levels of friction.

The low friction of the base and tip creates more stamina and LAD potential than the original Charge Performance Tip. Metal also adds weight, increasing inertia and stamina. The Charge Metal Driver is approximately 1,5 g heavier than Charge.

While this Performance Tip can create flower patterns, the low levels of friction result in a lack of velocity and aggressiveness. Therefore, combinations using this Driver will not be able to deliver strong attacks.

However, this Driver can create flower pattern fairly easily, making it a good choice for players who are new to Beyblade.

Final Thoughts

Charge Metal lacks friction to have the required aggressiveness for top tier attack type combinations.

However, it can be a nice option for players who are new to Beyblade, and unfamiliar with advanced launching techniques. Furthermore, it is outclassed by its “Dash” variant, Charge Metal’, which has increased burst-resistance.

Additionally, while this Performance Tip is considered as heavily outclassed in the western community, it is regarded as a decent option in Japan, due to the good stamina potential and ease of use of this Driver.

Therefore, this Performance Tip is not a must have, but it can be a nice addition in any player’s collection.
