Description of the Fusion’ Driver
First released with the B-130 Random Booster Vol. 13 as part of the Cho-Z Layer system on December 27th, 2018, Fusion’ is a balance type Performance Tip. It is the “dash” version of the Fusion Performance Tip. See the complete article on Fusion here. The “dash” version of a driver has a stronger spring, increasing burst resistance significantly.
Fusion’ features a flat tip made of plastic, with a small protrusion in its center. This design allows players to choose the behavior of the combination, depending on the launching technique used.
When using a flat launch, with the Beyblade parallel to the stadium, the combo will spin on the small protrusion, which will result in a traditional stamina type behavior with the combo spinning in the center area of the stadium.
When the Beyblade is launched at an angle, using a banked shot, the combination will spin on the flat part of the tip, and it will adopt a fairly aggressive behavior for a limited amount of time.
While this design could in theory help players to adapt their tactics, in reality it results in an unpredictable behavior with poor to average performances. If players use a banked shot, the behavior of Fusion’ is not agressive enough and the small protrusion will stop movement early in battle. Therefore, the small protrusion prevents the combo from being efficient in an attack oriented tactic.
When players need a safe behavior, the flat part of the tip will make contact with the stadium floor as soon as the combination is tilting or knocked off balance, resulting in significant stamina loss. Therefore, the flat part of the tip prevents the combo from being efficient in a stamina oriented tactic.
Final Thoughts on Fusion’ Driver
Fusion’ proves to be an unreliable Performance Tip, with poor mobility and stamina potential, making it a mediocre option in both attack and stamina.
Even in a non-competitive environment, this driver is too inconsistent to be enjoyable.
Therefore, Fusion’ cannot be recommended.
