Description of Operate
First released in the CX-11 Emperor Might Deck Set as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on November 1st, 2025, Operate (or Op) is a Balance type Bit featuring an integrated Ratchet.
The Integrated Ratchet makes Operate the heaviest Bit at the time of writing, alongside Turbo, another Bit featuring an integrated Ratchet. Furthermore, this feature prevents the Bit from interacting with the Gear Chip. For example, when combined with Tr, Scorpio Spear sub-layer spins freely.
Operate is initially intended to be an upgrade for Hells Reaper, replacing the Ratchet 4-70 and the Bit Kick. The tip of Operate has 14 Gears instead of the usual 12, increasing Xtreme Dash attacks velocity and stamina losses as a result.
Furthermore, Operate has a mode change gimmick, allowing players to choose to play in “Attack Mode” or “Defense Mode”. By twisting a plastic mechanism, a small ball shaped tip made of plastic can come out from the Bit, creating a Stamina/Defense type behavior. This is the “Defense Mode”.
When used in Attack Mode, the tip has a conical shape with a hole in its center, creating agressive movements. This agressive behavior can become erratic due to the increased number of gears. The 14 gears on Operate can make it harder to perform smooth Xtreme Dash Attacks. Moreover, the 14 gears also increase stamina losses and self knock-out risk.
Additionally, the number of tabs acting as Ratchet protrusions change, depending on the mode used. In Attack mode, only two tabs protrude, while in Defense Mode, four tabs are protruding from Operate.
Final Thoughts
Operate may not have enough Stamina not Attack potential to become a competitive option. However, when compared to Turbo, players may find Operate’s gimmick more enjoyable and reliable.
Therefore, this Bit is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
