Description of Wizard Arc R4-55LO
Released as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on March 29th, 2025, Wizard Arc R4-55LO is a right-spin Stamina type combination. It is a Starter, so it is sold with a Winder Launcher.
This Beyblade is the first Stamina type combination released as part of the CX/Custom Line, the third Beyblade X Line. It features customisable Blades, being made of three interchangeable parts : the Lock Chip, the Main Blade and the Assist Blade.
As with every Custom Line model, the combination is slightly taller than other Beys from the Basic and Unique Line, because of the increased height of the customisable Blade. At the time of writing, a taller height in Beyblade X usually results in poor performances : height exposes Ratchets, not only resulting in poor Burst Resistance, but also in a more erratic behavior and an overall lack of stability.
However, this stock combination has two components designed to lower the Bey’s height : Low Orb, a low variant of Orb which lowers the combo by 1 mm, and 4-55, a Ratchet that sits 0,5 mm below the standard height.
Despite its lower height, the gap created between the Main Blade Arc and the Assist Blade Round makes the combination easy to destabilize, even in stamina match-ups. Stability quickly became one of the key factors in Beyblade X gameplay, therefore Wizard Arc tendency to be destabilized fairly early during Battles can have a dramatic impact on its overall performances.
Furthermore, due to the fact that the contact points are made of both metal and plastic, recoil can be quite unpredictable, sometimes resulting in a feeling of randomness. However, Round seem to provide a bit of protection to the Ratchet, resulting in decent Burst resistance.
How to Improve Wizard Arc R4-55LO
This stock combination may be easily improved with obvious stamina options such as Ball. However, the main weakness of this stock combination remains the gap between Arc and Round, therefore we have two leads that may help you :
– Changing the Assist Blade and replacing it with Turn may improve the combination’s stability and overall performances
– Changing the combination’s height by replacing the Bit and the Ratchet
Interestingly enough, we had decent results in taller combinations, allowing Round to become the main contact point. This can be achieved with Ratchets such as 0-80 and 7-80, both will add extra weight and balance to the combination.
Furthermore, while Ball is currently the best stamina Bit available, Disc Ball can be used to increase the combo’s height even further. While this approach is very unusual, the result is not optimal, far from it, but it seems that it does improve Wizard Arc performances in stamina match-ups. However, it will worsen Wizard Arc performances versus agressive Attack type combinations.
Final Thoughts
Despite its lower height, Wizard Arc R4-55LO is fairly easy to destabilize, but it remains a decent stock combination nonetheless. Low Orb may be interesting for players willing to create low stamina combinations, and both Arc and Round will allow players to customize their Beys with more depth than before in Beyblade X, thanks to the Custom Line models.
