Released as a DMM Lottery Prize as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on October 24th, 2025, Wyvern Hover 2-80GN is a right-spin Defense type combination.

As all Unique Line models, this Beyblade features resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This further increases Outward Weight Distribution, a characteristic that significantly improves stamina and attack potential. 

Unique Line models also have a gimmick : Wyvern Hover unique shape is meant to deflect attacks coming from above and below.

In reality, the Blade Wyvern Hover has two agressive, recoil laden contact points, making the whole combination counter-attack oriented. With such recoil, Wyvern Hover can repel opposing Beyblades and inflict knock-outs with consistency from a stationary position.

However, with its oval shape and its two primary contact points being raised, Wyvern Hover offers little protection to the Ratchet, resulting in poor synergy with the Ratchet 2-80 and the Bit Gear Needle. 2-80 has poor Burst Resistance, due to its shape and height, while Gear Needle -as all Defense type Bits- does not have a widened shaft to increase Burst Resistance.

Furthermore, the elongated gears of Gear Needle, combined with Wyvern Hover high recoil, create an increased Knock-Out/Self Knock-Out risk when performing Xtreme Dash attacks.

Therefore, while the Blade has in reality great Attack potential, the stock combination lacks synergy, just like the Hasbro version, Hover Wyvern 3-85 Needle, also making use of a tall Ratchet and a Defense type Bit.

How to Improve Wyvern Hover

Due to how exposed the Ratchet is when combined to the Blade Wyvern Hover, 9-60 may be considered as mandatory, especially for competitive players. While Ratchets such as 7-60 can improve overall control of the combination, the heavy use of Shark Scale and its high Burst attack potential make 9-60 a critical choice.


Beyblade Academy Combos :
The high recoil of this Blade make it a great option in Attack/Balance type combinations. The popular Bits Rush and Low Rush are obvious choices to create a traditional Attack type combination, such as Wyvern Hover 9-60 Rush/Low Rush for example.

Furthermore, players can also use Wyvern Hover in anti-attack oriented combinations, with the Bit Kick. Kick is much harder to control than Rush and Low Rush, although it offers an interesting balance between aggressiveness and stability.

While the stock combination lacks synergy, resulting in poor Burst and Knock-Out resistance, the Blade Wyvern Hover is one of the best options in attack oriented combinations.

Therefore, this Beyblade is a strong addition in any Beyblade X collection.
