Xceed'+X Performance Tip

Description of Xceed’+X

First released with the B-174 Beyblade Limit Break DX Set as part of the Superking Layer system on November 14th, 2020, Xceed’+X is an attack type Performance Tip. For detailed informations about the normal version of this Driver, see the complete Xceed’ article.

The added “Xceed Chip” or “X” is a chip compatible with the Zone’ and Xceed’ Performance Tips. It can be assembled and removed from both Drivers.

Xceed’+X is an attack type Performance Tip, featuring a combination of plastic, metal and rubber. The tip itself is flat and made of rubber, barely protruding from a thin plastic ring, surrounded by the metal disc of the “X” chip.

“X” will lock the plastic part in place, disabling free-spin on both Xceed’ and Zone’. X has a ridged perimeter, and it has a slightly conic shape divided in two levels, resulting in the plastic tip barely protruding out of X. This design implies that the Xceed Chip will easily make contact with the stadium floor.

The X attachment makes Xceed’ very hard to control, but it can be useful when launched with moderate power. Xceed’+X allows both tornado stall and flower pattern, but again, the sweet spot is hard to find in terms of launch power. Launching a bit too hard will result in the combination going straight into the stadium’s walls, which implies a high risk of self-K.O.

Xceed’+X does not perform really well against same spin combinations, and it tends to suffer from big recoil knock-outs, due to the low friction of metal. Xceed’ without X feels better, much easier to control and less prone to knock-outs against same spin opponents.

Against opposite-spin opponents, the combo does not behave in the same manner, quickly breaking the flower pattern, trying to behave like a spin-steal stamina combination. Despite the lack of aggressiveness, Xceed’+X can be better than Xceed’ against opposite-spin opponents.

Final Thoughts

Xceed’+X can be an upgrade in opposite spin battles, but its behavior makes it a risky choice in same-spin match-ups. Overall, Xceed’+Z is a better Performance Tip.

Therefore, Xceed’+X is not a must have for competitive players, but it can be a nice addition in any Beyblade Burst collection.
