Zone' Performance Tip

Description of Zone’

First released with the B-174 Beyblade Limit Break DX Set as part of the Superking Layer system on November 14th, 2020, Zone’ is a balance type Performance Tip.

Important note : this Performance Tip is compatible with two metal chips, the “Zone Chip” (Z) and the “Xceed Chip” (X).
For detailed informations about Zone’ assembled with the “Zone Chip”, see the Zone’+Z article.
For detailed informations about Zone’ assembled with the “Xceed Chip”, see the Zone’+X article.

Zone’ is the “dash” version of the Zone Performance Tip. You can see the complete article on the Zone driver here . The “dash” version of a driver has a stronger spring, increasing burst resistance significantly. As expected, the dash driver is far better than its predecessor, Zone.

Zone’ features a sharp conical plastic tip barely protruding from a thin free-spinning plastic ring, sitting under a wider free-spinning disc. The ring and the disc are part of the same free-spinning component.

In theory, the free-spinning part reduces friction between the tip and the stadium floor, increasing the stamina potential of the combination. Furthermore, it can act as a brake to prevent the combination from being knocked-out, and allow the combo to re-stabilize itself after being knocked off balance.

Advertised as a balance Performance Tip, Zone’ is in reality a strong stamina driver, its design creating high stamina potential and decent mobility. This Performance Tip is decent in same-spin stamina battles, but it is at its best in opposite-spin match-ups. It also features decent mobility, allowing it to be assembled with defense oriented Blades to counter attack type combinations. Furthermore, Zone’ high stamina and decent mobility can be used as an alternative to create attack type combinations designed for the DB standard stadium.

Final Thoughts

Zone’ is a great Performance Tip, but it is outclassed by stamina drivers from the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems such as Bearing Drift. Nonetheless, it remains a unique driver combining mobility and high stamina.

Therefore, Zone’ is not a must have, but it can be a great addition in any Beyblade collection.
