Description of the Double Xtreme Stadium

Released as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line system on October 12th, 2024, the BX-37 Double Xtreme Stadium Set features the Double Xtreme Stadium, a Winder Launcher and Bear Scratch 5-60F.

The Double Xtreme Stadium, as the name suggests, features two Xtreme-Lines instead of one. The additional Xtreme Line is located right in the center of the arena, on a platform that moves up and down at regular intervals using a battery-powered electrical system.

When the platform is raised, the additional Xtreme Line disappears, and both Beys can be knocked out into the Over or Xtreme Zone, just like in the Standard Xtreme Stadium.

When the platform lowers, the tops become trapped in the center of the arena, allowing them to perform endless Xtreme Dash attacks along this circular additional Xtreme Line.

Gameplay

In practice, this Stadium thoroughly tests a combo’s burst resistance. If a combo has mediocre or poor burst resistance, it is very likely to burst after consecutive attacks in the center of the arena when the platform is in the lowered position.

The advantage of this Stadium is that it gives more winning chances to more aggressive combos while keeping the gameplay fundamentals close to the Standard Xtreme Stadium.

It is worth noting that the Stadium is very well secured, with pocket exits that properly catch the tops, preventing them from flying out of the arena after a KO.

The only practical drawback is the noise: the switch-activated motor that drives the platform up and down is quite loud, somewhat like the motorized stadiums from previous generations.

This Set also features the attack type Beyblade Bear Scratch 5-60F and a Winder Launcher.

Final Thoughts

The Double Xtreme Stadium has the advantage of building right upon the core foundation of the Beyblade X generation: the gimmick stadium. Battles are intense and mostly fast-paced, and although it may not necessarily appeal to players exclusively interested in competitive play, it brings a breath of fresh air, a fun change of pace, and a welcome addition to this generation.
