Description of Mummy Curse 7-55W

Released with the UX-18 Random Booster Vol. 8 as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on December 27th, 2025, Mummy Curse 7-55W is a right-spin Defense type combination.

As all Unique Line models, this Beyblade features resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This further increases Outward Weight Distribution, a characteristic that significantly improves stamina and attack potential.

Unique Line models also have a gimmick : Mummy Curse is meant to cushion opposing Beyblade attacks, thanks to its plastic part, as well as the reduced number of gears on Wedge. Furthemore, this Blade has an additional plastic contact point, able to extend and protrude from the Blade under the effect of centrifugal force. Against Attack type combinations, the effect of this gimmick is negligible and/or hard to see. However, against Stamina/Defense type combinations, the gimmick is easy to see and it does have a noticeable effect. When the additional contact point comes out of the Blade, it creates a barrier, similarly to the rubber barrier of the Lucifer Beyblades from Beyblade Burst.

In reality, this prevents Blade to Blade contacts from happening, creating a very small separation between both Blades.

Therefore, this Stock combination has great synergy, with all its components designed to mitigate opposing Beyblade Attacks, increasing Knock-Out resistance. Moreover, the Ratchet 7-55 provides decent Burst Resistance, making Mummy Curse one of the best defense type Stock combinations.

In Stamina match-ups, this Beyblade falls short when facing top-tier Blades such as Wizard Rod. However, Mummy Curse stock combo can be used with some degree of success against top tier Attack type combinations, using Blades such as Shark Scale.

How to Improve Mummy Curse

The stock combination does not have any critical issue : the height is slightly below the average, providing decent Burst Resistance, and the 10 gears on Wedge help mitigate stamina losses and self knock-outs on Xtreme Dash Attacks.

However, players can further improve Burst Resistance by using Ratchets such as 9-60 or 9-70.

The popular Hexa will also provide a Defense/Stamina type behavior with an increased Burst Resistance.

Mummy Curse plastic part can also be used to play “Pushing” combinations. The purpose of such combos is to push the opposing Beyblades with attack type Bits such as Rush, while draining their stamina thanks to the low recoil of Mummy Curse plastic part. Ratchets such as 9-70 can be interesting, in order to raise the combination’s height, making sure that the plastic part of Mummy Curse becomes the primary contact point. This specific type of combinations works best against Defense and Attack type combos.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this stock combination has great synergy, thanks to a low height which increases Burst Resistance, and the low recoil of the Blade Mummy Curse.

Furthermore, 7-55 could find use for competitive players, since its shape provides decent Burst Resistance to the Blade Clock Mirage. A combo with meta-game breaking potential that could be played in the future is Clock Mirage 7-55 Low Orb.

Therefore, this Beyblade is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
