Description of Shark Gill 5-60FB

Released with CX-11 Emperor Might Deck Set as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line system on November 1st, 2025, Shark Gill 5-60FB is a right-spin Stamina type combination.

Shark Gill is a retool of the Shelter Drake Blade (Gill Shark in Hasbro). This means the overall shape and design are very similar to Shelter Drake, albeit with minor differences. Despite a very similar shape and design, this retool is lighter than the original version, with a difference of between 2 and 3 grams depending on the copy.

It features Shelter Drake’s signature shape, with two long, thin blades serving as the main contact points.

These two blades create an elliptical shape, which in turn tends to generate more movement for the combo.

However, the Free Ball Bit helps keep the combination under control, with a slight launch angle if necessary. This Bit provides a semi-mobile behavior and single-handedly creates an excellent level of stamina. It is currently one of the highest-performing stamina-type Bits.

Finally, the 5-60 Ratchet is a very good component, but it can cause Burst issues in this specific combo, as it is relatively exposed due to Shark Gill’s elliptical shape.

Even though the Blade is too light to compete with the top options of the current meta-game, the combination remains effective, original, and fun to play.

How to Improve Shark Gill

Shark Gill’s elliptical shape suits any type of setup—stamina, attack, and balance Bits can all synergize well with this Blade. However, defense Bits may lack the stability needed to pair effectively with it. Wall Wedge can potentially compensate for the instability inherent to defense-type Bits.

Overall, stamina staples—from Ball to Narrow, including Free Ball—work very well, though they will likely require using the 9-60 Ratchet to minimize Burst risk.

For Balance type combinations, Hexa and Kick are two competitive options, and Taper or Unite are also interesting alternatives. Much like attack staples such as Rush, Low Rush, and Level, they allow for greater flexibility in Ratchet selection, like 7-60 for instance.

However, against optimized attack setups, Shark Gill’s relatively compact size risks exposing the Ratchet. If that happens, switching to 9-60 is your best option.

Final Thoughts

The Shark Gill Blade offers performance similar to Shelter Drake, which is now outclassed in the meta game, and the other components—5-60 and Free Ball—are great options for competitive play.

Therefore, Shark Gill 5-60FB adds great value to the Emperor Might Deck Set.
