Description of Low Orb
First released in the CX-02 Wizard Arc R4-55LO Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Custom Line system on March 29th, 2025, Low Orb (or LO) is a Stamina type Bit.
As its name suggests, LO is the low variant of Orb, lowering the combination by 1 mm. “LO” features a small ball-shaped plastic tip, similar to Ball (B). Compared to Ball, “LO” has a smaller diameter, resulting in a smaller contact surface between the Bit and the stadium floor. The smaller contact surface creates less mobility, making combinations using “LO” stationary in the center area of the stadium, similarly to BIts such as Needle. When hard launched, a combination using “LO” will typically move in small circles before remaining stationary.
This docile behavior allows players to launch the combination with force and confidence, and keeps the combination predictable, making “LO” a relatively safe option in that regard. However, the lack of mobility can also make the combination easier to strike early in the battle.
Furthermore, the smaller contact surface between the Bit and the stadium floor creates less friction, increasing stamina potential. In theory, this means that “LO” could have more stamina potential than Ball, and its ball-shaped tip could make it more stable than Needle.
However, in reality, “LO” stamina potential is outclassed by Ball. When compared to Ball, the smaller diameter of Low Orb also results in a decreased knock-out resistance. Moreover, it makes it more difficult for the combination to re-stabilize itself, and combinations using “LO” will tilt over earlier than combos using “B”.
However, the round shape of Low Orb’s tip makes it far more difficult to destabilize than Bits such as High Needle or Needle, making it one of the best Bits available alongside Ball. Furthermore, depending on the combination, the lowered center of gravity may increase stamina potential.
Please note that the indented plastic guard on “Low” Bits can be damaged and break.
Final Thoughts
Low Orb being lower than Orb, Rush it provides better Burst resistance than Orb. Low Rush being a low and dangerous attack Bit, helping attack type combinations to strike the Ratchet and Burst their opponents, Low Orb can be used to lower the Bey and counter such combos.
Therefore, LO may be a decent alternative to Orb, making it a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
