Description of Needle

First released in the BX-04 Knight Shield 3-80N Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports system, Needle (or N) is a defense type Bit, the first defense Bit released in the Beyblade X Generation.

Needle is a pointy Bit, featuring a conical shape and a sharp tip. The shape of the tip results in a docile, controllable stationary behavior, making the combination steady in the middle of the stadium. This behavior allows the player to launch the combo with force and confidence. If launched hard, this Bit can have stamina comparable or superior to the Ball Bit.

In terms of defense potential, luck is a huge factor. On one hand, the stationary behavior of this Bit can be very safe, remaining steady in the center of the stadium thus evading attacks from the opponent. On the other hand, the stationary behavior can also make the combination an easy target for Xtreme Dash attacks. With the right Blade, this Bit can remain steady and repel the opponent’s attacks.

Furthermore, The very low contact surface and friction of Needle typically results in the combination tilting over and wobbling fairly quickly. It also makes the combination easier to destabilize and knock-out.

In the early stage of the Beyblade X generation, “N” was used with various Blades, including the attack oriented Shark Edge Blade.

Final Thoughts

In the early days of Beyblade X, Needle was heavily used with Stamina and Attack type Beyblades. However, it is now outclassed for competitive use.

Therefore, Needle is a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
