Description of Aero Pegasus
First released with the UX-00 Aero Pegasus 3-70A Rare Bey Get Battle Prize Booster as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on July 30th, 2024, Aero Pegasus is a right-spin Attack type Blade.
This Blade is a reference to the Metal Fight Beyblade Series, more specifically the Pegasus Line. The overall shape of Aero Pegasus is highly reminiscent of the Pegasus Beyblades from the Metal Fight Generation, and the Gear Chip features the drawing of a Face Bolt in the background, right behind the Pegasus avatar.
Unique Line Blades feature resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This is meant to increase Outward Weight Distribution, a trait that significantly improves stamina and attack potential.
Furthemore, the name “Aero” comes from the fact that the Blade has six gaps, three in the inner part of the Blade, three on the outer part. This results in improved aerodynamism, which increases stamina as well as Outward Weight Distribution.
Unique Line Beyblades also have a gimmick, usually based on all components synergy. With Aero Pegasus, the gimmick is a “Double Metal Coat”. This simply means this Blade has two coats of paint instead of one : a blue coat and a green coat, resulting in the Blade unique color theme.
Performances
This Blade has a three-sided shape, featuring three large and long upward slanting blades. This design is meant in theory to create upper attacks, allowing to lift the opposing Beyblade from the stadium floor, thus making it easier to knock-out and/or destabilize. In reality, Aero Pegasus attacks are horizontal for the most part, which does not impede on its raw attack power.
More importantly, Aero Pegasus is one of the heaviest Blades in Beyblade X, and it can also be considered as one the very best this Generation has to offer. Not only Aero Pegasus does feature incredible attack power, more specifically knock-out potential ; this Blade also has high stamina and knock-out resistance.
Aero Pegasus stamina potential is outclassed by specialized components such as Wizard Rod and Silver Wolf, although it remains the most versatile Attack type Blade, able to counter Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate combinations if equipped with the Bit Level, albeit not with high consistency.
Therefore, this Blade is heavily used in official tournaments, usually combined with 3-60, 7-60, and sometimes 1-60 Ratchets. The most popular Bits options are Rush and Low Rush at the time of writing.
As mentioned above, the Bit Level can also be used competitively to counter Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate combinations. During our testing sessions, it is worth mentioning that a few Balance type Bits such as Kick, Point, Taper and Unite can also be used with a high degree of success.
Final Thoughts
While Aero Pegasus is very rare Blade, thus making it very expensive to purchase, it is also one of the very best Blades the Beyblade X Generation has to offer. Featuring high attack and stamina potential, it is easily the most versatile attack type Blade.
Therefore, it is a must-have for competitive players and collectors alike.
