Description of Rhino Horn

First released in the BX-19 Rhino Horn 3-80S as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports system on November 2nd, 2023, Rhino Horn is a right-spin Blade featuring an overall circular shape with a rugged design.

Rhino Horn is a small Blade featuring four bumpy sections, resulting in the rugged design of this Blade. Its small size may allow the combination to dodge early attacks. It has a relatively poor stamina potential, with a tendency to wobble for extended periods of time before steadying itself. For example, the top tier Hells Scythe Blade spins at least between 20 and 40 seconds longer than Rhino Horn.

Furthermore, this Blade tends to have a hard to control, erratic behavior when used in semi-mobile/mobile combinations. Moreover, its tendency to wobble in stationary combinations further decreases its stamina potential when combined with High Needle, making the combination tilt over early. High Needle low angle cone makes it difficult for this Blade to re-stabilize itself. Therefore Needle, Spike and Orb are better options with this Blade when it comes to pure stamina potential in stationary combinations.

Intended to be a defense oriented Blade, sometimes advertised as capable of absorbing shocks in the center area of the stadium, in reality Rhino Horn will inflict powerful attacks from a stationary position. The damage inflicted will result in chaotic and spectacular battles even in stationary match-ups ; Over, Xtreme and Burst finishes will be a common occurrence.

Rhino Horn illustrates how important Blade-to-Blade contact is in Beyblade X. Its design and recoil result in inconsistent performances, depending on the opposing Blade. For example, low-recoil Blades such as Wizard Arrow for example may struggle to remain stable around Rhino Horn, and the attack oriented Shark Edge will be repelled with high force. Rhino Horn tendency to wobble and create sudden movements in stationary combinations may further enhance its repelling force.

However, high recoil Blades such as Hells Scythe will dominate this small Blade, in any type of combination. The Dran Sword Blade, used in mobile or stationary combos, can also be a difficult match-up. Against such Blades, Rhino Horn can deliver a few hits but it will most likely be quickly knocked-out in the Over or Xtreme zones. Therefore, while this Blade is advertised as defense oriented, it cannot handle the recoil and attack power of some of the best Blades available, at least not with consistency.

Furthermore, This Blade propensity to strike hard and inflict damage results in a lot of burst finishes. However, Rhino Horn will also suffer from burst-finishes against powerful and high recoil Blades such as Dran Sword and Hells Scythe.

Final Thoughts

Rhino Horn small size and bumpy perimeter allows it to repel some Blades with high force. However, it struggles against strong Blades from the Xtreme Gear Sports system.

Further testing and more data collecting may reveal more viable applications for this Blade in the near future. Furthermore, upcoming releases may feature Parts that could create more synergy with this Blade.
