First released in the BX-26 Booster Unicorn Sting 5-60GP as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports system on January 27th, 2024, Unicorn Sting is a right-spin Blade featuring an overall circular shape.

Gimmick and Design

---

This Blade has a gimmick, which could be translated as “Double Style” or “Double Type” in english, meant to create equal equal attack and defense potential. Therefore, Unicorn Sting features two different designs. It has a smooth half, designed to mitigate opposing Beyblade attacks, creating defense potential. The other half is rugged, featuring seven small blades. In theory, these blades can create consecutive hits, providing attack potential.

Furthermore, this Blade is fairly heavy, and it is thick enough to completely cover its plastic frame, making the Ratchet less exposed as well.

Performances

The overall design of the Blade results in well-rounded attributes, with decent stamina, attack and defense potential. Furthermore, the circular shape of the Blade creates decent LAD (Life-After-Death).

These balanced attributes make Unicorn Sting an excellent Blade in stationary combinations, where it can be used to out-spin or knock opposing Beyblades out with relative consistency. This Blade is able to use the opposing Beyblade own Recoil against it, making it a good option to counter the popular Hells Scythe Blade.

Furthermore, this Blade has enough defense potential to make it viable against Phoenix Wing attack type combinations. Therefore, Unicorn Sting appears to be a strong option in defense/counter-attack oriented combinations.

Additionally, similarly to Knight Shield, Unicorn Sting can be used in mobile combinations to chase the opposing Beyblade and counter it.

Finally, it is worth noting that Unicorn Sting has high synergy with the 5-60 Ratchet. This Ratchet provides balance and increases Unicorn Sting combos stamina potential. When combined to this Blade, other Ratchets allow more mobility, at the detriment of stamina.
