Description of Quake
First released with BX-31 Random Booster Vol. 3 Tyranno Beat 4-70Q as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line system on April 27th, 2024, Quake (or Q) is an attack type Bit.
Quake has a very unique tip: it resembles Low Flat tip, but as if it were sliced at an angle, resulting in that distinct slanted, asymmetrical surface.
Like its predecessors from previous Beyblade generations, Quake unique shape creates a gimmick : a Quake combination can make quick jumps. Usually, launching as low as possible will reduce the height and frequency of the jumps, while launching from a higher position will increase their height.
Additionally, an angled launch helps mitigate Quake’s unpredictable behavior and brings consistency to its jumping gimmick.
Despite this gimmick, this Bit still manages to perform Xtreme Dash attacks. However, the asymmetrical surface results in poor stability as the combo loses spin velocity. Consequently, this Bit relies on the first strikes of the battle to knock its opponent out, as its stamina will exhaust very quickly.”
Finally, like other attack type Bits, the shaft is wider, resulting in increased burst resistance.
Final Thoughts
Due to its unpredictable behavior and lack of stamina, Quake is heavily outclassed by other options such as Rush and Low Rush for competitive use.
Ultimately, Quake is far from a must-have for competitive play, even if it remains a fun addition to your Beyblade X collection.
