Description of Hells Hammer 3-70H

Released as a Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Unique Line system on March 30th, 2024, UX-02 Hells Hammer 3-70H is a right-spin Balance type combination. This Starter comes with a Winder Launcher.

As all Unique Line models, this Beyblade features resin launcher hooks instead of the regular metal ones seen on Basic Line Models. This further increases Outward Weight Distribution, a characteristic that significantly improves stamina and attack potential.

Unique Line models also have a gimmick : Hells Hammer is meant to strike the opposing Beyblade repeatedly from a high posture, like a hammer. This Beyblade is focused on repeated smash attacks, created by the synergy between the Blade and the Bit, Hexa. The high posture is allowed by the Ratchet, 3-70, sitting slightly above the standard height.

The stock combination can actually create impressive Smash Attacks, repelling the opposing Beyblade against the Stadium Floor. Furthermore, this combo has decent stamina potential thanks to Hexa. However, the Blade lacks weight to perform well in a wide variety of scenarios.

Therefore, Hells Hammer 3-70H can have decent results against combinations featuring lighter Blades, weighing 35 grams or less. Unfortunately, it will struggle when facing heavier stock combinations, with Blades weighing 36 grams or more.

In spite of the stationary behavior created by Hexa, Hells Hammer is the attack oriented Beyblade in the “Hells” line. Hells Scythe 4-60T was a “stamina” oriented Bey, its Blade dominated the competitive scene in the early days of Beyblade X, while Hells Chain 5-60HT was more defensive.

Hells Hammer is the most agressive Bey in the Hells/Incendio line, and yet it remains fun and easy to play. This Starter also gives players a great option for competitive play, Hexa.

How to Improve Hells Hammer

Hells Hammer is too light to compete with top tier, heavy Blades. However, players can have fun experimenting with different combos and height. Burst resistance can be improved by replacing 3-70 with 3-60. If players want to experiment with the combination’s height, they can try 9-70 or 9-80 to keep Burst risk as low as possible.

When it comes to the Bits, the easy, go to options could be Ball and Free Ball in a stamina oriented combo, Rush and Low Rush or even Level are the safest attack type options. However, Hells Hammer Smash Attacks can shine in Balance type combinations, with Bits such as Kick. Height can be increased with the use of High Taper, and stability can be improved with Elevate.

Elevate is also meant to strike opposing Beys from above. Therefore, decent synergy can be created with Hells Hammer. The use of Elevate makes 9-60 a great Ratchet option to increase Burst resistance.

Hexa is a popular choice in official tournaments, often used with Wizard Rod to increase Burst Resistance against Shark Scale combinations.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the stock combination is coherent, although the lack of weight will hinder its performances against heavier Beyblades.

However, Hexa is a top tier component, which finds use in official tournaments whenever Attack type combinations are a threat, thanks to the nice balance of stamina and Burst Resistance it provides.

Therefore, this Beyblade can be considered as a must have.
