Released as a Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports Basic Line Expand Blade system on May 16th, 2026, BX-49 Dran Strike 4-50FF is a right-spin Attack type combination. This Starter comes with a Winder Launcher.

Dran Strike is the first model in the Basic Line Expand Blade series (also known as Infinity). What sets BX Infinity Blades apart is that they feature a metal Gear Chip integrated directly into the Blade mold, whereas the Basic Line Gear Chip used to be a separate plastic piece. The direct result of this design change is higher overall weight, as well as a more center-heavy weight distribution—a feature that typically benefits defense-type combos. In the specific case of Dran Strike, this design change is intended to increase the power of its Smash Attacks and Barrage Attacks.

This stock combo is completely geared toward raw attack, featuring an aggressive Bit, Free Flat, which creates fast and aggressive movement to facilitate hitting the X-Line and launching Xtreme Dash Attacks. Additionally, the combo has solid Burst attack potential, as the 4-50 Ratchet lowers the setup’s height by 1 mm. This allows Dran Strike to more easily catch the opponent’s Ratchet, triggering occasional Bursts.

Although this combo boasts visible attack power with its ability to score numerous Knockouts, it suffers from two major drawbacks. First, it lacks stamina, which limits the number of attacks it can deliver as well as its ability to gradually destabilize the opposing setup. Second, Dran Strike’s massive recoil can backfire, often resulting in self-knocks directly off its own hits.

How to Improve Dran Strike

At the time of writing, the best options to improve Attack type combinations are Rush, Low Rush, and Level.

Among these three options, Rush is the most versatile, while Low Rush tends to boost Burst attack potential. Finally, Level offers very aggressive battle entries thanks to its extremely high movement speed, all while maintaining excellent stamina in the late game. Kick is also a viable compromise. Being a Balance type, it is easier to control than Level and carries a lower risk of self-KO.

Ratchet choice is very flexible with attack-type Bits. From 7-60 to 3-60, as well as 1-60, all of these options are viable. We also liked the 1-50 Low Rush setup, which lowers the combo 2 mm below standard height, tending to boost Burst attack potential.

Unfortunately, the Dran Strike Blade lacks the stamina required to be effective in stamina or defense combos.
