Description of King Helios MR Giga Zeal-10
Released with the B-203 Ultimate Fusion DX Set as part of the Burst Ultimate system on October 8th, 2022, King Helios MR Giga Zeal-10 is a left-spin balance type combination featuring a circular shape and a rugged design.
King Helios Gimmick
This Beyblade features a gimmick : the “Ultimate Fusion System“. The Blade can be separated in two halves, and each half of the Blade can be assembled to any half from another King Blade, or any half from the Super Blade.
Out of the box, the King Blade features one half with a rugged design, made of hard rubber with four protrusions. This half is referred to as “King R“. The other half has a similar rugged design, this time made of hard plastic. This half features a metal part in its center, and it is referred to as “King M“.
This is why the stock combination is called King Helios MR, the Blade featuring a “Metal” half and a “Rubber” half.
“King R” being made of rubber, it creates spin-steal potential, while the “King M” has more recoil, creating attack potential.
Behavior and Performances
This Beyblade has a nice balance type behavior, capable of movement when launched hard while maintaining high stamina potential. The combination will steady itself in the center part of the stadium fairly quickly, adopting a stationary behavior.
Depending on which half of the Blade makes contact with the opposing Beyblade, King Helios can deliver powerful attacks (or counter-attacks) and/or “absorb” the opponent.
Therefore, this combination can be effective in both same-spin and opposite-spin match-ups, making it a very strong stock combo. Furthermore, it features great components such as the Giga Forge Disc, the “10” Armor and Zeal Performance Tip.
The quality of the components featured in this combo create a good stamina potential as well as decent LAD. King Helios can get good results in a wide variety of scenarios, able to challenge any type of combination.
How to Improve King Helios
Friendly Use
In a friendly environment, this Beyblade is strong out of the box. Collectors who enjoy playing with stock or slightly improved combos won’t need to replace any components from King Helios.
Players willing to increase stamina potential can replace Zeal with strong stamina Performance Tips such as Drift, Bearing’ or Bearing Drift. Players willing to preserve the Helios line identity can also experiment with Zone’+Z. However, Zeal is a great Performance Tip featuring high defense and stamina potential.
Another way to improve the combination is to use the “Ultimate Fusion System”. Players can choose to make the combo more spin-steal oriented by fusing two “R” Blade halves, or more attack oriented by merging two “M” Blade halves.
Unfortunately, players willing to keep King and Super Blades separated will need to get two copies of the Ultimate Fusion DX Set. It is worth noting that when merging King R and Super R, both halves are symmetrical, each being designed to work in a specific spin direction. King R is designed to work in left-spin, while Super R is designed to work in right-spin.
Therefore, players willing to turn Helios in a real spin-stealing combination while keeping it separated from Super will have to get two copies of Helios, and merge King R with another King R.
Competitive Use
King Helios MR Giga Zeal-10 features several competitive parts. The Giga Forge Disc and the “10” Armor are top tier components, and players can use these parts in any type of competitive combination.
While not considered as top tier because of the focus on opposite-spin stamina, players can use the Zeal Performance Tip in a defense/stamina combinations with great success. It is one of the best drivers from the Beyblade Burst generation.
The Helios DB Core is also outclassed by other left-spin options, such as Longinus and Bahamut, but it remains good enough to be used in a tournament if no better option is available.
Overall, players lacking options can use Giga, “10”, Helios and Bearing Drift, also included in the Ultimate Fusion DX Set, in a stamina oriented combo. Players can use The King MR or King RR/SuperKing RR Blades as well, which will result in a spin-stealing stamina combination. However, the hard rubber of King and Super create less spin-steal potential than the Vanish Blade.
Final Thoughts on King Helios
King Helios MR Giga Zeal-10 stock combination is very strong out of the box, one of the best in the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems. While several components are not necessarily the most popular choices in tournaments, they all remain very strong parts or even alternatives for competitive players lacking options.
Collectors will welcome this coherent stock combination as well, featuring great components and the nice “Ultimate Fusion System” gimmick.
Overall, King Helios is a great addition, adding even more value to the Ultimate Fusion DX Set.
