Description of Moon Forge Disc
First released with the B-202 Random Booster Vol.30 on September 10th, 2022, Moon is a Forge Disc from the Burst Ultimate system.
Moon features an outer plastic part with a circular shape. This design is reminiscent of the Expand Disc Frame, released with the B-130 Random Booster Vol. 13 on December 27th, 2018, which was a component of the original Air Knight 12Expand Eternal combination.
The plastic part of Moon features two gaps, which increases OWD (Outward Weight Distribution). This design results in increased stamina potential. However, similarly to Xanthus, it has a low hanging shape that creates a high scraping risk, making the combination difficult to use. Players willing to use this Forge Disc will have to use tall Drivers or high variants to mitigate the scraping risk.
Additionally, like Xanthus, Moon features raised protrusions meant to interact with “BU Lock” compatible DB Cores. This gimmick makes it more difficult for the Disc to progress, increasing Burst resistance.
Final Thoughts
While Moon has an interesting design which creates OWD, its high scraping risk makes it difficult to use. Thus, it is outclassed by popular Discs such as Over, Giga , Fortress or Illegal.
Therefore, Moon is not a must have for competitive players.
