Description of Hells Scythe

First released in the BX-02 Hells Scythe 4-60T Starter as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports system on July 15th, 2023, Hells Scythe is a right-spin balance type Blade.

This Blade features a four sided shape, made of four downward sloping blades. Each blade features a small gap at its base, increasing OWD. The downward sloping shape of the blades will result in smash attacks when striking an opponent.

This Blade has great stamina potential, the best out of all Beyblade X early releases, such as Dran Sword, Wizard Arrow, Knight Shield, and Knight Lance. Therefore, this Blade is at its best when used in stamina combinations, combined with Bits such as Ball. This highly competitive combo will adopt a semi-mobile behavior featuring high stamina potential.

However, this Blade also features high recoil, making the combination unpredictable. Over time, the contact points will wear down, which could reduce recoil and increase the stamina/defense potential of Hells Scythe.

The recoil-laden nature of this Blade can also make it viable in balance type combinations, when used in specific scenarios where attack potential may be beneficial. The scoring system of Beyblade X allowing three different ways to obtain a multiple points finish (Burst, Over, Xtreme), gambling on Hells Scythe attack potential in specific match-ups can be risky but rewarding.

Final Thoughts

Featuring high stamina potential and high recoil, Hells Scythe is one the most versatile Blade available. Combined with the 3-60 or 4-60 Ratchet and the Ball Bit, this Blade is used with great success, making it one of the best Blades in the Xtreme Gear Sports system.

Therefore, Hells Scythe is a must have in any Beyblade collection.
