Description of King Helios Karma High Charge’ 1S

King Helios Karma High Charge’ 1S is a left-spin attack type combination, released with the B-196 Random Booster Vol. 28 as part of the Dynamite Battle system on June 26th, 2021.

While released as part of the Dynamite Battle system, this Beyblade is actually a Superking Layer model. This means it does not have any Armor, Blade or DB Core, and it is not compatible with High and Low Modes. However, the Single Chassis 1S allows the use of a Forge Disc.

The High Charge’ Performance Tip is easy to control, making flower patterns easy to create. However, High Charge’ creates limited friction with the stadium floor, resulting in a low levels of velocity and aggressiveness.

Therefore, this stock combination has a traditional attack type behavior, but its lacks of speed and the use of King result in poor attack potential.

This stock combination is not coherent, and it is outclassed by most of the regular releases from the Dynamite Battle system. However, some of its components can be interesting for collectors. For example, this Beyblade is the only release featuring the High Charge’ Performance Tip, and it comes with a blue Karma Forge Disc.

Ring : King

King is a left-spin balance type Ring. It has a circular shape, featuring five large blades along its perimeter. Additionally, there are five smaller blades in between the larger ones.

The larger blades are meant to create Upper Attack potential and “continuous hits”, while the smaller blades are meant to create defense potential by deflecting attacks.

In reality, these blades are not agressive enough to create real attack potential. Furthermore, the light weight of this Ring creates poor stamina and defense potential.

Superking Chip : Helios 2

Helios 2 is a left-spin Superking Chip. It has above average performances, featuring a Metal Chip Core, which increases its weight.

Helios 2 is the only left-spin Superking Chip compatible with a Metal Chip Core.

Overall, the increased weight of this Chip make it one of the best left-spin options available.

Chassis : 1S

1S (or 1 Stamina) is a Single Chassis, meaning that it allows the use of a Forge Disc in the combination.

This Chassis is stamina oriented, featuring a well balanced weight distribution.

During the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems, 1S was still used in spin-stealing combinations at a competitive level in Japan. It was combined with the World Ring, the Diabolos Superking Chip, Illegal Forge Disc, and Metal Drift or Drift Performance Tips.

Forge Disc : Karma

Karma features an aggressive perimeter, made of ten small upward sloping blades. This design is intended to create down force in a right-spin combination, and upper force in a left-spin combination.

This Forge Disc is outclassed in the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate because of its lack of weight and OWD.

The Karma Forge Disc featured in this Beyblade has a blue coat of paint, increasing its weight.

Performance Tip : High Charge’

High Charge’ is an attack type Performance Tip. It is the High and “Dash” variant of the Charge Driver.

This Driver features a wide base and a small, flat plastic tip. Some parts of the base are made of metal, increasing the weight of this Driver. The weight added by metal increases inertia and stamina potential.

While this Performance Tip can create flower patterns, its plastic tip has low levels of friction, resulting in a lack of velocity and aggressiveness.

How to improve King Helios Karma High Charge’ 1S

Friendly Use

King Helios Karma High Charge’ 1S is best used against other combinations from the Superking Layer system. Furthermore, the tip of the five larger, sharp blades of the King Ring can be easily damaged if used against Blades from the DB/BU systems.

However, players willing to use this model against other Superking Beyblades can replace 1S and Karma with 1B. This Chassis creates deent synergy with the King Ring.

Furthermore, Performance Tips such as Drift, Xtend+ or Bearing can be used instead of High Charge’. These 3 Drivers were available during the Superking system. These changes will improve the combination’s performances in opposite-spin battles, where the King Ring is usually at its best.

Finally, High Charge’ can be a decent option when used in a friendly environment. Its taller height make it easier to use with combinations from the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems. This Driver a welcome addition for beginners ; it is easy to control and features decent stamina potential.

Competitive Use

In the current meta-game, the 1S Single Chassis is the only component that can find use in a competitive combination. These components can be combined with the World Ring, Spriggan or Diabolos Superking Chips Illegal Forge Disc, and Metal Drift/Drift Performance Tip.

This combination is popular in Japan, where the Diabolos Superking Chip is usually preferred. The World Diabolos Illegal Drift 1S combo can be used with great success in spin-stealing combinations, against Blades such as Vanish, Wind, Dynamite + F Gear etc.

Final Thoughts on King Helios Karma High Charge’ 1S

King Helios Karma High Charge’ 1S is not a strong stock combination. Several components featured in this combination are outclassed by other options from the Dynamite Battle and Burst Ultimate systems. Therefore, it cannot be recommended to competitive players.

However, this Beyblade is the only model featuring the High Charge’ Performance Tip, and it comes with Helios 2, a good Superking Chip, and a blue Karma Forge Disc, making it a nice addition for collectors.

This Beyblade is not a must have, but it can be a nice addition for collectors.
