Description of Viper Tail 5-60F

Released with the BX-24 Random Booster Vol. 2 as part of the Xtreme Gear Sports system on December 27th, 2023, Viper Tail 5-60F is a right-spin attack type combination. This Beyblade is very similar to the previously released Viper Tail 4-60F from BX-16 Random Booster Viper Tail Select.

This stock combination is interesting because it takes advantage of the Viper Tail Blade attack/counter attack potential. 5-60 and Flat are both good Parts, adding value to this combination. The Flat Bit being prone to wear and tear, players will need multiple copies of this Bit in their collection.

This aggressive combination can have decent results, showcasing the Blade decent attack potential.

Blade : Viper Tail

Viper Tail is a right-spin Blade featuring an hexagonal shape.

This fairly heavy Blade has six contact points featuring two different designs. Three longer sections are fairly smooth, while the three shorter sections are more agressive. The center part of the Blade features a viper head.

Ratchet : 5-60

5-60 (or Five Sixty) is a Ratchet from the Beyblade X generation. This Ratchet features five wide “blades” along its perimeter, and it is 6 mm tall.

Its overall design and its low height make it a popular choice in stationary combinations, using Bits such as Needle, High Needle, Spike or Orb.

Bit : Flat

Flat is an attack type Bit. It features a round, flat tip with a shallow indentation. This design is intended to create aggressive movements, helping the combination to reach the X-Line and perform the Xtreme Dash.

While Flat is a strong attack type Bit, the balance type Taper Bit is often preferred in a competitive environment.

How to Improve Viper Tail 5-60F

As mentioned earlier, taking advantage of Viper Tail attack power can be interesting. Depending on the match-up, 5-60 does not need to be replaced, but 4-60 and 3-60 can be used instead.

3-80 and 4-80 are alternatives in attack type combinations, but the exposed plastic frame of the Blade may become even easier to strike at a taller height.

Additionally, Flat can be replaced with Low Flat for even more aggressiveness, or Taper for more stamina.

Due to their high stamina potential, Ball or Gear Ball are the best options to improve this combination. Both can be used if players want to avoid the high risk/high reward approach of attack type Bits.

Final Thoughts

This stock combination features interesting Parts, but competitive players may only be interested by the opportunity of having an additional copy of 5-60 Ratchet and the Flat Bit.

Therefore, Viper Tail 5-60F is not a must have, but it can be a nice addition in any Beyblade X collection.
